What happens when a supermodel channels her years of experience in the fashion and beauty industry and opens her own high-end spa and salon? AMO Spa Petitenget is what happens. And it’s every bit as haute as Navia herself.

Incase you don’t read Vogue, Navia Nguyen was the world’s first Asian supermodel. She carved out an impressive career modelling in fashion shows for practically all the high-fashion designers before taking her skills to the big and small screens (Sex and the City fans might recognise her). As if her resume wasn’t impressive enough, in 2009 she opened AMO Spa Petitenget which over the years has grown on the glowing word of mouth of delighted customers.

Set over two levels, the modern, Balinese-inspired spaces are a refuge from Jalan Petitenget — the popular Seminyak strip is growing busier (and trendier) by the day. So hook yourself up with a fresh juice (yes, there’s an on-site juice bar) and prepare for your professional treatment in luxurious surrounds.

AMO’s treatment menu is extensive and includes all the usual suspects (hair, nails, face, body) as well as some signature and local touches. The ‘Balinese Blessing’, for example, is one of several foot soaks offered. This ‘soakology’ treatment uses a variety of Balinese aromas, not one but three kinds of salt and temple flowers to invoke balance and leave you feeling (and smelling) as delightful as a frangipani.

The spa is open late, so even if you’ve had a full day of lounging by the pool coupled with bargaining for that ‘genuine’ Armani clutch, you can still squeeze in a ‘Because I’m Worth It’ package before lights out. And considering it’s perfectly located just across the road from Potato Head Beach Club, why not treat yourself to a killer cocktail post pampering?

Open daily from 9am to 10pm – Last appointment at commences at 9pm.
