Green Ginger Noodle House is a vegetarian restaurant in Canggu with a chilled, bohemian atmosphere. Think shabby chic with ornamental lamps, fresh flowers and vintage clothes for sale. It’s open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and offers yum cha on weekends and evening Indonesian classes during the week. Though it doesn’t boast sweeping views and fancy cuisine, it’s simply adorable and is the perfect spot if you have a hankering for healthy vegetarian food, a relaxed vibe and great service – particularly if you have kids with you!

The fare here is filling and delicious, consisting of enormous bowls of hot flavoursome laksa, tasty dumplings, the always popular bento box, nourishing salads and noodle dishes and loads of snacks to tempt you all day, such as corn fritters, tofu puffs and fresh rice paper rolls. The food is a celebration of wholesome vegetarian produce, and most dishes can be made vegan too. If you come for breakfast, you must try the amazing strawberry and banana pancakes or the Thai-style omelette for something a little bit different. The lunch and dinner menu is Asian-focused, and some favourite picks are the ginger shiitake tofu wontons, spinach shallot dumplings and the yummy Singapore noodles. For afterwards, a small but enticing dessert selection including cardamom coffee cake and cranberry and white chocolate muffins is available.

The restaurant is a great place to bring kids. A courtyard out back has stools and scatter cushions, and is a perfect spot for little ones to eat and play. There’s also a simple kids’ menu that includes fried rice, ramen noodles, banana splits and jam and butter sandwiches.

Green Ginger Noodle House is a place where you can linger over a meal or while away the day with a coffee and book. There’s no pressure to rush in this relaxed little eatery.
