Soma Cafè has joined the ranks of the raw vegan cafés that are taking Ubud by storm. This location is well known for its very wholesome way of life with activities like yoga retreats and cooking classes becoming very popular in recent years.

With a healthy lifestyle comes healthy food, and Soma Café has breathed new life into this idea, creating vegan and raw food that won’t bore you to tears. You can order many different types of beverages from the juice bar and you will be guaranteed to be served something that is a gorgeous vibrant colour (all au natural, of course), perfect to accompany any meal of your day. Their homemade raw chocolate is a must try, but if you are looking for something a little more filling then you can’t go past their live pad thai or raw pizza. A very interesting menu indeed!

Feeding the mind, body and soul are obviously major focusses for the people working her and those frequenting this café as customers, but also at the forefront of what Soma do is to also look after the earth we live on. This eco driven business venture uses the highest quality, fresh and clean ingredients they can get their hands on. Everything is sourced locally where possible to enable the support of the agricultural economy of the surrounding farms and there is almost zero wastage.

Walk ins are most welcome at Soma Café, in fact, it is basically, the more the merrier. There is such a cool vibe and the community really gets involved. This café sometimes plays host to live music groups, playing acoustic tunes for all the customers inside and passing by.

Everything on the menu is a very reasonable with prices ranging from 45,000-95,000 ($4.50-$9.5). Soma Café is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner from 7:30am – 10pm Monday to Thursday and 7:30am – 11pm Friday – Sunday. Don’t forget to try out their delivery service if you would like to dine in the comfort of you own accommodation in the local Ubud area.
